Wood Science and Technology is a discipline that takes the efficient utilization of wood resources as a starting point and, using scientific and technological innovation, aims to improve wood processing, wood products, wood-based panels, wood-based composites and wood structure. Research is focused on wood protection and functional modification, wood bionics and intelligent responses, low-carbon processing and green manufacturing, wood-based materials and biomass energy, intelligent manufacturing and the design of furniture. The overall aims are to improve the quality of wood products, increase the efficiency of utilization of wood resources, save energy, reduce emissions and contribute to supply-side reform of ecological products.
